Iluce brings centuries of experience, craftsmanship and passion to Montreal in the art of Venetian Murano glass making. The line in question, AVMazegga, was founded in 1946 and channels the glass masters of the past to produce stunning lighting collections, glass-blown art and chandeliers. The company incorporates cutting-edge techniques to the timeless tradition of handmade glass, creating products that embody both traditional and modern looks.
The inspiration behind the Medusa chandelier (first slider), for example, is from historical glass works of the 1900’s. Available in crystal, amber, blue or red glass options and various sizes, this chandelier is gorgeous in an open space or over the dining room table.
The Melissa chandelier (second slider, first and third image) is a more classic design, featuring decades-old hand blown glass techniques from Murano. It comes in crystal, light blue or amethyst and gold glass combinations, as well as in crystal and chalk colours. The Melissa is just one feature of AVMazzega’s Ottocentro Collection, which includes suspension, table and wall applications in a similar styling.
Add a little sex appeal to any space with the Corner chandelier (second slider, middle image), which was designed in the 19th century. Each of these fixtures is unique, with amazing handmade detail. It is available in crystal, white, pink, red (pictured), amber, transparent fumé with ruby and gold decorations or transparent fumé with green and gold decorations.
The Tiger Lilly (third slider) is a bold lighting choice designed in 2009 by English architect and designer Nigel Coates. It comes in crystal and red, with white or black edges and chrome accents. This handblown glass has a unique form, and it’s a fixture that would fit perfectly in a dining room or hotel lobby.
Finally, the gorgeous Zante chandelier features a form of hand-blown glass arum lilies. It was also designed by Nigel Coates. The upturned bouquet can be made with 12 or 18 stems, which house a single halogen lamp like the stamen inside a flower.
These gorgeous chandeliers are available in Canada exclusively at Iluce Concepts — and are on sale all weekend!
