Establishing a real home is challenging when you have a career that can uproot you at any time, but Montreal Canadiens centre Lars Eller and his wife, Julie, have succeeded with a minimal approach and key personal touches.
The mainly white open living area is punctuated with vibrant flowers. Julie displays family photos on the fridge and a dining wall. The Ellers moved into their 1,700-square foot condo on Nuns’ Island in March, 2012.
“Close friends had bought it as an empty shell and showed it to us after they opted for a penthouse unit instead,” says Lars. “The condo had a lot of things, in addition to the view, that made us love it.”
