Ten years ago, Alex and Tamar Royt fell in love with a 1930 home on a quiet, tree-lined street in Forest Hill. They bought it and began to renovate and they haven’t stopped since.
“We loved the classic Georgian architecture style and symmetry that it affords,” says Tamar, the owner of Silverwood Interiors and Silverwood Flooring.
Their labour of love began with a complete floor-plan redesign, an extension of the back of the 3,500-square-foot house, a kitchen renovation, and the addition of a third-floor family room.
