Façon de Venise: Italian lighting traditions with a modern touch

Even though we at Iluce Concepts love the look of a traditional chandelier, our passion is to have fun with lighting fixtures to take a space to the next level.

Contemporary lighting design has been taking over homes and work spaces in the last decade.  A clean look with a pale colour scheme has been a trend for a few years now, and sometimes a lighting fixture that is too contemporary does not add the necessary warmth to space.  For this reason, we are always on the lookout for unique, extraordinary pieces — modern, rustic or traditional.

Recently, I came across the collection from Façon de Venise, where the Italian manufacturing tradition meets a modern touch. Their lighting fixtures are the essence of experimentation, where the top design meets the freedom of expression with materials, colours and shapes that continuously interact with the lighting component. And now, Iluce Concepts exclusively brings this line to Montreal.

The Aqua Collection (sliders 1 – 4) is a modular system comprising lamp shades of various shapes and sizes in many colours.  This collection is great for commercial projects like restaurants or office spaces and residential applications alike.  The Aqua collection is a true expression of fun you can have with lighting fixtures.

The Bloom Collection (sliders 5 – 7) is designed by Brian Rasmussen, and is a beautiful balance of contemporary constraint and freedom of expression. Graceful lines and curves make a statement to any interior and give it a timeless elegance.

The Brick (sliders 8 + 9) is an exciting modular wall systems that not only provides light but also transforms any wall in to decoratively appealing point of interest.  The range of colours and possibilities is endless with this modular system, depending on the type of look is being created.

Finally, design studio Cambi Scatena Turini bring a mix of modern design with sophisticated traditional style in the Drill Collection (slider 10 – 12), which is made of ornamented plaster.  The designers have incorporated LED light sources into this striking piece, making it good for the planet and great for future generations.

The right lighting will make a huge difference in any space, commercial or residential.  These exhilarating pieces from Façon de Venise are perfect for making a statement. Come see this line at Iluce Concepts, where we can help you choose the best lighting solution for your needs.  Live it with Iluce.
