The year’s decor trends are not limited to a select few styles. The “now” look can be urban-rustic or industrial, rich and dark, or light and airy.

Neolith’s patterns, inspired by a wide range of popular materials – both natural and manufactured – offer a gamut of motifs. Neolith is a lightweight, large-format sintered surface made of such materials as granite and glass minerals. It’s created using intense heat and pressure to bond the elements, resulting in a strong but lightweight material that is UV-resistant and can be used to clad various surfaces.

BACK TO BLACK

Homeowners are looking to darker, inkier tones of igneous rock, with basalt and soapstone styles in high demand.

Expect to see plenty of surfaces that reflect the beautiful detailing of stone, including grains and organic, continuous patterns reminiscent of the real thing.

165 Walls, Nero Satin 3mm

The depth and contrast offered by these materials – from monochromatic countertop and backsplash combinations to visually bold flooring – have inspired interior designers to be adventurous. Juxtaposed with crisp white tones or sandstone shades, they create a striking effect.

FIRING THE IMAGINATION

Everyone treasures the feeling of time spent sitting with family and friends around a roaring fire. The range of ultra-resistant materials now available on the market means you can be adventurous with the aesthetic to create something playful and visually appealing.

206 Fireplace, Calacatta Gold Polished & Concrete Taupe Silk 6mm

Clad in Neolith’s neutral tones, a fireplace surround will never go out of style. Beautiful browns, wonderful whites and glamorous greys have been used for a variety of projects around the country.

Neutral colours can also be accentuated by splashes of whimsical colour, whether in the form of a hunter green sofa or a vibrant red lamp in the living room.

INDUSTRIAL EVOLUTION

Industrial motifs take inspiration from factory warehouses and raw elements to create spaces that are functional and contemporary. Components that designers often try to conceal, such as steel or brick, are exposed to make a strong design statement.

174 Flooring and Walls, Iron Moss Satin 6mm

For those seeking a hint of shimmer, muted metallics are a perfect addition to any space. Burnished effects add an extra dimension to a project, bringing to mind historic architecture.

ON THE TABLE

From cozy lounges to open-plan atriums, the choice of furniture in a space creates a first impression that lasts. Whatever the backdrop, there are many furnishing options available – from eye-catching statements to subtle finishing touches.

Furniture trends evolve with changing tastes in interior design. The choice of materials available for application is greater than ever before, inspiring furniture designers to create imaginative new concepts or add modern twists to classic motifs.

Neolith is available from select distributors across Canada.
