FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Canada – The EQ3 Spring 2017 Collection presents a new perspective on modern living – one that encourages exploration, discovery and comfort.
This spring, EQ3 will showcase a collection of thoughtfully designed pieces from Canadian-made upholstery to sculptural ceramics and hand-made New Zealand wool rugs.
In contrast to bitter Canadian winters, the Spring 2017 Collection references the days when sunshine pours in through open windows, and patio doors stay open late into the evening. The collection leans on natural materials, a muted airy palette and rich natural textures.

Inspired by floral and botanical patterns and colours, EQ3’s Spring 2017 Collection encourages the incorporation of lush plant life and floral arrangements in the home.

For the first time ever, EQ3 will be offering an extensive collection of indoor / outdoor planters. The Bulb Collection, has a rounded feminine form and is made from raw ceramic. Both the Adobe Collection, a robust set of three large planters available in a dark concrete grey, along with the rounded Terra Planters, are constructed from fiberclay – a unique material combination of fibreglass and and clay composite.

The sculptural Posey Vases interact with one-another to create captivating arrangements. The muted colour palette is emphasized by the matte slip-cast ceramic form of each vase, rendering the set complementary to artful arrangements yet beautiful on their own.

The use of natural materials are prevalent throughout the new spring accessory presentation. Glass, cork, solid ash and ceramic carry through from tableware to lighting.

In response to traditional Japanese pleated paper lanterns, the Verve Table and Pendant Lights feature delicate, opal-glass shades. The table lamp juxtaposes the modern approach to the pleated slip-cast glass shade with more traditional tuned oiled-oak base.

The use of glass continues with the Bowl Table and flush-mount Ceiling/Wall Lamp. Presenting an elegant solution to flush-mount lighting, the Bowl Lamp in both iterations offers beautifully dispersed light.

On the table for spring are the organic-shaped ceramic Mirage Serving Bowls; the solid ash Yukon Cutting Boards, Serving Board and Salt Keeper, and the coloured Stride Tumblers and Hi-ball Glasses. When the sun goes down, illuminate the table with EQ3’s new collection of hand-made Array Candles, featuring sustainably harvested palm wick that prevents dripping.

New fabric introductions in natural materials and rich hues, upholstered pieces designed with comfort in mind, and an expanded occasional program that encourages customization and personalization are central to Spring 2017 furnishing introductions.

The natural textures of spring extend to a newly introduced chenille fabric, Coda, EQ3’s expanded full- aniline Coachella leather, and EQ3’s wool-felt offering, Lana.

Seasonal pillows inspired by botanical patterns and the new Liv Throw, available in a light dusty rose or bright forest green complement natural fabrics and leathers. Inject a rich vibrancy into living or bedroom spaces!

The newly introduced Shoal Duvet Cover is a supple linen-cotton blend. A lightweight solution for warm spring nights, the Shoal Duvet Cover is available in two colourways.

EQ3’s rug collection showcases newly designed pieces in muted and deep hues. Hand-made in India, introductions such as the Cita and Silo Rugs are made of 100% New Zealand wool. New Phaedra and Stanley Rugs offer a balanced approach with careful applications of colour.

Furniture pieces ranging from bedroom, to occasional and storage received material and finish updates this season. Darker hues from matte black marble to black ash were introduced, grounding some of the more airy elements of the spring collection, and work beautifully in contrast to EQ3’s classic Carrara marble, clear ash and oiled oak finishes.
